Connecting the dots
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.”

Hardi Jain · AI and SaaS product manager
Two personal projects where I was the product manager and the builder. For each one I picked a real problem, wrote every spec and prompt, had an AI coding agent build it, and tested each change before moving on. I wrote no code by hand.
Most of the work came after the demo. In Pantry Vault I cut the AI health verdicts, because wrong health advice is worse than none. I capped each person at 30 AI requests a day and made the app fall back from Google to Groq to OpenRouter when a free tier turns requests away. In Med-Voice I wrote a test that checks all 11 languages return complete, speakable instructions, and I marked the offline sample so it can’t pass for a real reading.
Neither app has outside users yet. Each story ends with the number I’d measure first.
A pantry app for vegetarian kitchens. Bill and order screenshots fill the pantry, and recipes use up what’s about to go off.
A prescription label read aloud for seniors in 11 languages, with a reminder at each dose time.
